Ordering

 I do not have a stock of all the items. They are hand crafted one at a time, so the time that it takes you to get your order, may vary, depending on how complex the item is and if I have other orders before I receive your order.

All of the items with an  by them denote that they are historically correct documented items.

If there is a change to the item you want, just order the item and in the Instructions To Seller field in the shopping cart, describe the item there. Feel free to put any comments in that field.

Payment

I accept major credit cards as well as Paypal. Although the shopping cart runs through Paypal,  you   Do Not   need a Paypal account to pay by credit card.

 

If you don’t wish to use a credit card, I accept a check or money order also, or of course cash if it is a pick-up order.

  

Shipping

 

I will be out at various Civil War reenactments, and Living History events. Shipping charges can be avoided if you wish to pick your item up there, or pick it up at the address listed on the Contact Us page. Check the Schedule page for the events that I will be at.

 What is a defective item?

A defective item is a vessel that leaks through a seam or joint or the item has some other defect that does not allow it to function as it was designed to function. Slight seepage past a Stopper or Cork is not considered a defect. Minor surface dimpling or waviness, scratches or blemishes are not considered defects.

 

Defective Item

Any item that is found to be defective either by the manufacturing process or that has been damaged in shipment will be replaced after return of the defective item. All shipping costs to return the defective item will be reimbursed, and the item will be replaced. The management of Dixie Tinworks will determine if the item is truly defective once it is returned and will work with the customer to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

 

Unwanted Item

Any item that is unwanted may be returned within 10 days of receiving the item. The return shipping charges will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The purchase price will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee.
